O-Gauge 3 Newspaper Racks by Cinder Shops

The Morning Edition: Sidewalk Newspaper Rack Trio
Back before the world went digital, these heavy-duty racks were the heartbeat of the sidewalk. If you were walking to work in the Inland Empire or heading into the diner for breakfast, these were your link to the world. You’d drop your coins in, hear that satisfying mechanical clunk, and pull the heavy handle to grab your copy.

I remember these lined up like colorful sentinels on the street corners. They were built like tanks because they had to survive the elements and the occasional \"enthusiastic\" commuter. Seeing a row of these really grounds a layout in that specific era when the morning paper told us everything we needed to know.

A Giant Leap for Your Layout
I’ve curated this set of three racks to include a piece of history. Along with the leading mastheads of the day, I’m including complementary headline decals for the most famous news day of our generation: July 21, 1969—the morning the world woke up to read that men had finally walked on the moon.

A Word of Advice on Installation
These decals are small. We are talking \"O-Gauge tiny.\" To get these looking right on the front of the racks, you’re going to need a specific mindset. I’m not saying my way is the only way, but it’s how I survived the process. If you\'re going to tackle these, here is my recommended toolkit:

A massive amount of patience.

A very strong set of reading glasses.

A sharp razor knife and a steady hand.

A large \"swear jar.\"

At least three rolls of quarters

A box of Band-Aids

Key Features:
Classic Street Scenery: Includes three (3) racks in a variety of high-visibility colors (Red, Blue, Green, or Yellow) to mimic a real-world sidewalk lineup.

O-Gauge Precision: Scaled 1:48 for perfect compatibility with your Lionel, MTH, or Atlas street scenes.

Historical Realism: Features the iconic coin-op mechanism and the clear viewing window geometry.
