The \\\\\\\"Home Depot\\\\\\\" Origin Story
The design for this fence came from real-world necessity. After a tree fell in our neighborhood, taking out the power lines and a good chunk of our backyard fencing, I found myself standing at Home Depot staring at a pallet of 8-foot dog-ear panels. I realized right then that the \\\\\\\"toy\\\\\\\" fences available for model railroads just didn\\\\\\\'t capture the look of a real neighborhood. I came home, fired up the design software, and modeled these to be an exact 1:48 scale replica of the panels I saw that day.
Easy \\\\\\\"No-Mess\\\\\\\" Installation
I wanted to make sure these were as easy to install as they are to look at.
The \\\\\\\"Anchor\\\\\\\" System: Each fence post features a pre-drilled hole in the bottom.
Rock-Solid Mounting: To secure them to your layout, simply drill a small hole in your scenery base and use a small finishing nail or a piece of brass dowel as a mounting pin.
Clean Results: This system keeps your fence perfectly upright and aligned without having to rely on messy globs of glue at the base of the pickets.
True Modular Construction
Proportional Scaling: Each panel represents a full 8-foot section, standing a scale 6 feet tall.
The \\\\\\\"Dog-Ear\\\\\\\" Detail: Each picket features the classic chamfered top corners found in backyards across the country.
Smart Post System: We include 10 panels and 10 posts. Each section is designed to interlock with the posts for a clean, straight run.
